Stealing Lincoln's Body - Thomas J. Craughwell

The good - Craughwell's chapters detailing the society of the time, in particular the immigration issues are wonderful. You really understand the time period.

The bad - the actual stealing bit is actually less engrossing than that, and a bit dull in terms of writing (though to be fair, I read this after The White Cascade: The Great Northern Railway Disaster and America's Deadliest Avalanche, which is some of the best non-fiction writing ever).
