Robin Hood: The History and Folklore of the English Legend - Charles River Editors Actually not that bad and pretty good. I like the fact that the author ties into pop culture. I do have to wonder, or quibble, about two word choices. Maud of Huntingdon is described as having her death precipitating the Anarchy, which isn’t quite wrong but is a base oversimplification. Second, if Morgan Freeman’s character is innovation in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, then why is, as the author correctly mentioned, the character pre-dated by Nasir in Robin of Sherwood? It isn’t so much as an innovation then, isn’t it?
