Maybe I didn't like this because I read it too soon after reading Peter Ackroyd, who is one of those writers who is London.With all due respect to my GR friends who liked this book. I didn't. I can understand the attractio; Niffenegger can write, but I had problems that made it impossible for me to figure it out.1. Sorry, I don't feel like she captured either London or Highgate very well. It could be because I'm comparing her to Ackroyd, but I didn't get a sense of place at all. There was no atmosphere.2. I hated everyone. Honestly. This makes it hard when you can figure out what is going to happen.
