I don't think Putin would approve

Wolfhound Century - Peter Higgins

Surprised I liked this one as much as did.

In a Russia that never was but could have been, Inspector Lom has a problem, and it is not the angel skin embedded in his head.

                It concerns a certain revolutionary.

Rather interesting world building.  Reminds me of the movie version of Gorky Park (but meeting steampunk).  Doesn’t really take off to about the second half though.  The first half is world building and atmosphere.  Good writing though.

I’m even forgiving the quasi cliffhanger ending.  Usually such things cheesed me off.  But for this book, I’ll forgive it.
