I think I am getting old.

Darth Vader and Son - Jeffrey Brown

This a very cute and funny book.  The artwork is warm and has inside jokes for Star Wars fans.

                I enjoyed.

Yes, you can feel a but.  It’s more like a however, actually.

Am I the only one who is tired for poor, misunderstood Darth Vader?  I get the whole hero goes dark thing (and some writers have handled it so much better than 1-3), but this is the guy who killed all the Jedi (his friends, compatriots, and if we include cartoons, students), including children (or younglings), abused his wife, tortured his daughter, cut off his son’s hand, killed his son’s adoptive parents (who are his step-brother and sister-in-law), but that’s all okay because (a)he was played by someone good looking and (b) he saved his son in Jedi.

(And don’t even get me started on the whole male issue).

I would’ve found Brown funnier if I knew there weren’t people who were going to take this book seriously.

Sorry, I know it’s not Brown’s fault, but it really irks me.

Yep, I'm Oscar the friggin Grouch.
