Young Adult Horror Bingo Square
The frame for this collection of short stories is rather predictable. The individual tales themselves are better, though the first Uncle Montague book was better. I do wonder why all the short stories and the frame have male central characters. The stories channel Poe, James, and LeFanu. The book is stocked with literary references. Artwork reminds one of Gorey.
