Really good

Celestina The Astronaut Ballerina - Graham Evans, Donald Jacobsen
I have to say that this book was a wonderful surprise in a good way. The plot is pretty straight forward. Celestina wants to be an astronaut but is discouraged by those around her until the arrival of a new teacher.

Living in a city where people are focused on poc as teachers and the important of having black teachers in the classroom, I thought it was a nice touch that that Jacobsen has the encouraging teacher be a black woman. This small children's book touches not only on the importance of encouraging children but also have role models.

The end pages are particularly good as well.
